Since 1857, the club has been the centre of Sydney life, with an ambiance and style befitting all occasions from intimate celebrations to the most formal of events.

Events, as part of our food & beverage offering, are at the heart of the Club, allowing members to entertain their guests in elegant rooms and timeless furnishings.

Members’ Dining Room

This is the Club’s largest function space. It is ideally suited to banquet, theatre and cocktail settings and caters to large groups of more than 60 people. To reserve the room on weekdays, a minimum of 80 people is required during the day and 60 of an evening.

Knox Rooms

These elegant and spacious rooms are principally used for comfortable afternoon gatherings and for dining in the evening.

The Library

This room has a unique and historical ambience ideal for a variety of settings. Ideal for sit down lunch & dinners, it can also be used as a pre-function drinks venue in conjuction with the Card room.

The Card Room

The Card Room caters for up to 50 people for a sit down meal whilst maintaining an intimate atmosphere.

This versatile room is suited to dinners, meetings and cocktail parties.

The Red Room

The Red Room is suitable for a more intimate setting, seating up to 12 persons.

This versatile room is suited to intimate dinners and meetings.

The Terrace

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city on the Club’s Terrace situated on Level 3.  This space is perfect for a standing cocktail style event or work Christmas Party.

An oasis in the CBD, the outdoor setting a true crowd-pleaser and one of the few private rooftops still available for functions in Sydney.  The Terrace can be booked exclusively for Members and your guests.

Guests are charmed by the attentive service and quality of our offering in equal measure.
